This morning as I watched my sweet girl have free play-time I thought about our strong bond and how I understand her so much; even her baby talk. One of the tools that has been useful in our communication is Baby sign language! It's such a great way to communicate before the baby is actually ready to speak. I have found that she is less fussy and whiny; don't get me wrong she still cries and can be clingy. Another benefit is that research has shown that babies who can sign get a great start in their vocabulary! I know all kids catch up at some point, but I just love equipping our little girl with all the tools (or at least the ones I know) and getting a head start even if it's just to eliminate the fussiness of not being able to communicate.
Another benefit in Baby signing has been to teach her to mind her manners, instead of getting what she wants and just dashing off.
Moral of the story: Baby sign language is the best!
